Roller Girl
Je suis la roller girl.
I envisioned Anna Karina singing Roller Girl for the photos below. My outfit is inspired by 1970s poster ads. I got the suede jacket last year at vintage store Retromania in Victoria. They have the best mid-season sales with 70% off and I got the original 1960s coat for £20! I've worn it pretty much ever since!

Northern Soul
Truffle - ASOS
I can totally imagine this outfit for a 70s Northern Soul night. The red top is so fitting for this seasons 70s t shirt trend, but I actually bought the top 3 years ago. It's from a Kelly Brook range for new look. I love the shape and retro football vibe it has to it. I styled with ASOS wide leg jeans which are super flattering and perfect for transitioning into the 70s flared style.

If you go down to the woods today...
VINTAGE TOP: Pop Boutique SKIRT: Missguided SANDALS: Truffle - ASOS
I wanted to create a 1970s peasant inspired look, so went to the local woods to complete the setting. The photos have an English mystical sense (I was inspired by The Wicker Man as per). As soon as I saw the gypsy top in Pop Boutique last year, I needed to get it! I loved studying Classicism in dress (think Jane Austen) whilst at uni and instantly thought of regency fashion when I saw the top. The flared shoulders are very 70s whilst the shape is surprisingly flattering for someone with slightly larger boobs than average. The denim midi skirt pictured is from Missguided and was such a bargain. You can find it here. I do love me some denim, and there is clearly no avoiding it this season!

Why Hello!
Hello there,
I'm Rachel Doyle, a 24 year old gal with a love for vintage fashion, finding a bargain and styling.
I've been considering blogging for a few years now and have now decided after working in fashion for the past two years to create something for myself whilst I continue to work in Social Media and Marketing.
