Absolutely Magazine Cover Shoot

Back in July I assisted on Absolutely Magazine's cover shoot for their August issue inspired by exotic boho 70s chic. The two day shoot was shot on location at Fulham Palace in their inspiring gardens. I had a great time assisting on this shoot, and I fell even more in love (if that's possible) with Matthew Williamson's embroidered suede kimono jacket and trousers! It was fab meeting Charlotte, and helping her select the products to be shot! Even though it was the hottest two days of the year and we sweated copious amounts, we managed to create a wicked cover shoot!

Summer Vibes

Floral Maxi Dress: H&M similar one here: H&M, Ankle Boots: Topshop

This h&m floral dress is really flattering and super comfy! It can be buttoned up all the way, but I like to wear it with a few loose and a black dress slip underneath. It has quite a 70s vibe, but it can also be styled for a grungier look.

Denim Days

Topshop denim dress - similar one here, New Look: Mary Jane shoes, vintage bag: Portobello Market

This Topshop denim dress is one of my favourite purchases this summer. I love Topshop but I rarely shop there, mainly because I know I'd want to buy everything! I recently went and their denim collection was amazing. I'd fallen in love with Topshop's 70s inspired campaign and had been waiting for this dress for a while so I was super happy when it finally arrived in store.

Blue Monday

Stripes, Leather and Cords

Todays outfit is a casual affair with my £1 blue striped top from a recent vintage fair I attended in East London. I teamed it with my Urban Outfitters cord skirt (similar one here), vintage bag, ankle boots and H&M faux leather jacket. As the weather is still very up and down in London (check out the extremely windswept look in the last photo) it's hard to know what to wear, but one thing i've ditched for sure are the black tights!  Bring on summer!

Pink Flamingos

Blouse: New Look Skirt: ASOS Shoes: Matalan Necklace: Spitalfields Market Backpack: Tesco

The weather is finally starting to look decent! Field Day 2015 was so brilliant! So brilliant I had too much fun to take any photos. Festival season is back and it really gets you in a happy mood seeing all your favourite bands with favourite friends. The only issue is the post festival blues - having to go back to work.. So why not put on some pastel shades to perk yourself up! This was really fun to style and my sister suggested the necklace to bring it all together. I usually go for a small pendant necklace, but sometimes a statement piece is exactly what you're missing! I often find it hard to wear shirts buttoned up as I have a pair of boobs on me, but sometimes you just have to think whatever!

I hope you enjoy my playful 60s inspired futuristic gogo dancer inspired outfit.

Vintage Day Dreamer

Dress: Absolute Vintage, Soho London, Boots: ASOS, Bag: Orla Kiely

I bought this dress for £20 from Absolute vintage in Soho. Originally it was mid length, but as usual I hacked it off without any thought. That was slightly disastrous as I got caught up in how I imagined it to look ever so 60s, so I ended up with a really short dress that I needed to sew back up again. I ended up re-adding a chunk of what I had cut off! I won't be making any rash hemming in the future. The dress is still wearable, thank god! (Just don't get too close to see it)...

Redondo Beach

Jacket: Faux Suede - H&M, High Waist Jeans: New Look, Top: Vintage, Shoes: Vintage

I visited Sea Salter beach on Saturday. It was a lovely day with great weather and even greater company ;).

Roller Girl

Je suis la roller girl.

I envisioned Anna Karina singing Roller Girl for the photos below. My outfit is inspired by 1970s poster ads. I got the suede jacket last year at vintage store Retromania in Victoria. They have the best mid-season sales with 70% off and I got the original 1960s coat for £20! I've worn it pretty much ever since!
